Garnier Fructis Shampoo/Conditioner

This is a review on the Garnier Fructis - Fortifying - Triple Nutrition Shampoo/Conditioner

A few weeks ago, I went and applied to receive a free sample of the Garnier Fructis - Fortifying - Triple Nutrition Shampoo/Conditioner.  I just want to share my thoughts on this product after using it.

After my sample came in, I was excited to give it a try.  Here is how it went:

Positive Side:  When I opened the product, the first thing I tend to do, is I tend to smell what I am using.  I love things that have a pleasant and enticing smell to it. The Garnier Fructis Shampoo has an awesome smell to it that would captivate ones senses.  I love how it left my hair smelling.  It has this citrus/apple smell to it.  I kept finding myself smelling my hair.

The Downside:  I did not like how it left my hair.  Now, I am not sure if it is the texture and type of hair that I have, but I do not think that would make a difference.  Especially if this is to add Fortifying Nutrition to your hair.  But it did leave my hair feeling like straw.  I was not satisfied with the feeling; it felt as if my hair was stripped away of its natural oil.

Overall:  This product was not for me.  Now I know that not all shampoos will work for everyone; this one was not the one that worked for my hair type.  However, for those who do use it and love it - you guys are lucky, because I really did love how it smelled and how the scent lingered in my hair.  I would have loved for this to work on my hair, but unfortunately it did not.  For those of you who are willing to try this, I hope you have better luck than I did.  For those of you who did try this and you had the same outcome, please leave a comment and let me know.

I hope everyone is having an awesome week and Happy Holidays.  Peace :)

Tips # 2 Using Silk Works Serum

About a year and a half ago, a friend of mine Tillie, was staying over at my place.  She had just gotten out of the shower and I seen her apply something into her hair and let me tell you, it smelled pretty darn awesome.  I asked her what she was using and she showed me the bottle.  The product that she was using was Professional - By Nature's Therapy - Silk Works.  Silk Works helps maintain frizzyness and the beauty of this product, is that it adds shine to it as well.  You can apply this product to your hair dry or wet; working your way from roots to tips and it does not take too much either.  All you need is about a quarter to a silver dollar size and apply.  But  want to know the kicker of this product?  What I love even more about Silk Works serum, is that not only can you use this on your hair, but you are able to apply this on your skin as well.  How cool is that; having one product serving a multipurpose use!  I'm loving it!!  So, I have been using the Silk Works Serum since and I have come up with some awesome extended use for this product as well, that has made using this product that much more fun and interesting.  Here are some tips that I would love to share with you on how you can use Silk Works Serum.

For your hair - add a little Silk Work Serum to the palm of your hand and add conditioner to it as well.  Combine and apply to hair; then rinse.  I love how it leaves my hair after I take a shower.  Especially when my hair dries, it leaves it really shiny.

Skin - I take a quarter size of the serum and I mix it with a small amount of my favorite body lotion; then I apply.  I love the added scent it leaves and I love how it makes my skin feel soft and silky.

Feet - After you wash, soak, and dry your feet, take a little bit of Vaseline and a little bit of Silk Works Serum; mix together and apply to your feet.  Afterwards put on some (clean of course) cotton socks.  I adore the feeling it leaves my feet.

I hope you guys have a wonderful week and Happy Holidays.  As usual, I am not getting paid by Silk Works - I am doing this review and tips of my own, because I am a satisfied with this product.  Plus, I like to look at other reviews before I buy a product as well.  Hope this helps others out.  Peace :).
